Fireworks

In previous years, the Iowa City/Coralville Jaycees partnered with the City of Iowa City to put on a fireworks show. In order to raise money for the event, trash bags were sold and money was collected during the event via donations and the selling of food and drinks.

In recent years, the Fireworks show has and is run by the City of Iowa City, and the Iowa City/Coralville Jaycees have simply donated money to help support the event. Today, the trash bags are continuing to be sold, but will not be used as monetary support for the fireworks shows after the 2010. The trash bags will support the general fund.
